Saying Goodbye to 16 Bit Games

In August of 2025, I made the sad decision to pull my many games from Android and iOS. It wasn’t a decision I wanted to make, but when you are given a cease and desist letter, what else can you do. I started out doing game design since I wanted to answer a basic question: why don’t I like playing games (outside of Angry Birds) on my phone.

What resulted was a 5 year learning experience in Game Design. From making games work on a touch screen, to innovative touch controls, experimental Bluetooth multiplayer, extremely efficient 2D Colliders and native Android and iOS to Unity3D system calls. It was a wild ride and I don’t think I would’ve done it any other way.

I somehow managed to get my rambling to a 20 minute video, so if you want my telling of 16 Bit Games history, please check out the video below.
